A little breather...

We  fled the country spent some time in Canada this past weekend

We took a much-needed break this weekend and (for the first time in about 6 months) left the computer and all of our freelance work at home to just enjoy some time together. I can't even tell you how much we needed this little break. Things have been crazy and stressful and we have felt like we've barely been keeping our heads above water the past while. Anyone else feel like that? What ever happened to the long, carefree "dog days" of summer? My mind keeps turning to Ray Bradbury's "Dandelion Wine" - one of my favorite summer reads...all that summertime nostalgia I want to be creating, instead of the stress I/we have been feeling.

So, we made some memories. I'll post more about our 3-day adventure when I get my act together and get more organized eventually. (Can you tell I am liking this new strike-through feature on the new blogger editer?)

More to come!

genius that strike through feature... never knew how people did that:) is that "annie" you're holding in the picture? haha. it's kinda hard to tell. i can't wait to hear all about your trip! and no, you're not the only one trying to keep your head above water. i feel the same way often times. in fact, 11 just rolled around and Ruby just went to bed. sometimes i feel like i literally don't have one second to even sit down or eat. anyway, i' m rambling but glad you got away for a bit. you guys deserve it!

I'm glad you're back! And yes, I've felt like that too. You're not alone. Life and its busyness ebs and flows. It's good to know when we need "time outs" though, to gather ourselves. Canada looks like it was a blast!
