It's hard to believe that today we celebrate our Fifth Wedding Anniversary. So much has happened in those years...yet much is still the same: we love and respect each other and we are moving forward in the same direction. Jacob is the best husband and father that I know, and I truly mean that. Thanks, babe, for asking me to be the one to share not only a life-long, but an eternal, adventure and journey with you. And thank you for closing your eyes, holding onto me tightly, and jumping in with both feet! (Not to mention, humoring me by participating in the above photo - it was a cold but sunny day in October and there were lots of other people on the beach that day, but it is the beach where we got engaged and I thought it would be fun to have a romantic picture of us there :) I hope your'e not turning red now, my handsome and oh-so-sweet-and-wonderful Jacob! You are the best and I love you to pieces! Happy Anniversary!

That is awesome! And I'm always amazed at how you manage to turn everything into an amazing photo shoot. I do have one question: wasn't that water freeeeezing?
Jeanie - YES! It was really cold, the Puget Sound in October is like ice-water. But it was worth it! And it was the last photo of the day - we had been doing our family pics and ended at the beach and my friend (thanks Allegra!) who was doing our pics and I looked at each other (great minds think alike) and were like "we've just got to try it!" Jacob was more reluctant but finally went for it - and I'm so glad he did. I really love that we have this picture of when we're 'young and in love' ;)

wahoo!! I'm so glad you actually posted it! You know what I noticed now looking at the pic, that I didn't notice while taking it? Jacob's hand is even slightly inside your dress (at the top). ha ha. SEXY! :) I love the shot and love you guys. You're such good people and your kiddos are so lucky to have you both as parents. Happy Anniversary! Hope you have a good one!
I agree with Layla! I totally want a pic like this taken of us now, too. Maybe this summer we can hit the beach with our families and Dan and I can go at it on the shore while you snap away, ha ha!!
