Last night we took a tour of the Childbirth Center. It got me all excited and anxious for Sawyer to come! I realized that he will be here very soon and I want everything to be ready for him! Since my nanny family is in Turkey this week and I have a little spare time on my hands, I decided this morning to get Sawyer's Baby Star bassinet ready. My nanny family gave it to us and I absolutely LOVE it! I also love that it totally coordinates with our duvet! He will be sleeping in style! (Although I doubt he'll spend that much time in his bassinet, to be honest. At first we will probably use our co-sleeper and I plan to have him sleep and nap with me the first couple of months.) Hooray for fun baby things that just happen to be design-savvy!

My goodness, that is SO ADORABLE!!!! I love it! What a cute place to put your baby! I'm happy to hear you plan on cosleeping. We coslept with Jed the first year and I loved it. I had a hard time sleeping with him actually in bed with us, though he was often thanks to frequent nursings (my boy loves the numnums), but we kept him right next to the bed and he loved that. So did I at 3 AM!
Looks great guys. I am looking forwared to hold me too.
Love your baby "things" :) the nursery is adorable! Love the little pictures of the chick. I know you're turning your nanny badge in, but would love to chat sometime. Swap ideas, hang out spots! Does your nanny family have 7 kids? Or do you nanny for two different families?
Email me sometime!
Mandy :)
I love it! Even if he doesn't sleep in it much, it looks great.
And I posted some details about our NY trip today.
Wow - that's the coolest bassinet I've ever seen. I really wish I would have had one of those. It was the one piece of baby gear I feel like I *should* have had.
I love it Tysha - that's seriously the nicest bassinet I've seen. Where did they find it? What a bonus that it coordinates too!
The time of delivery is nearing! :) Can't wait to see what baby-Sawyer looks like!
Okay, so for those who want to know: the bassinet is by Baby Star, a very cool company out of Portland, OR.

They also carry it at The Land of Nod, which is the baby spin-off of Crate & Barrel.
We would never have been able to afford this (with all the other baby expenses) and it is not an inexpensive item, hence the generosity annd great blessing of having it be given to us by my nanny family!
Super cute baby stuff! Thanks for the info on where you got it..I will have to check it out!
I'm so excited for you guys! It looks like you are ready to go, which is definitely a good feeling! I'm so sad that I didn't make it to your shower--we were out of town.
that is a super cute bassinet! the room looks very cute and ready for baby to arrive.
