Six is the Magic Number...

Yesterday marked 6 weeks since Sawyer was born. 6 is an exciting number to celebrate, as it is the time Mommy can start doing many of the things she's been craving to do, but that the Doc said are "no no's" until she had 6 weeks of recovery time. The Pediatrician also said that after 6 weeks, Sawyer can go swimming. We can hardly wait for a hot enough day to go to family swim time! The postpartum check up isn't until next week, but, hey, 6 weeks is 6 weeks. That said, this morning Mommy took Sawyer in the big bad Bob stroller and went running her favorite 3 mile trail around Greenlake! It was quite heavenly! Sawyer was sleeping in the stroller, so she even got to bust out her iPod and run to some of her favorite pump-me-up tunes.

Ah. Sawyer has done so much in 6 weeks. I think we tire him out just as much as he sometimes tires us out! We sure love our little boy.

Last night we got together with some friends at the beach for a BBQ, bonfire, and S'mores. It was a beautiful sunset at Golden Gardens and a great way to end a fine day and celebrate the 6 weeks we've had together as a little family by sharing some time with wonderful friends.

has it been six weeks already? wow, time flies! sawyer is such a doll - or maybe a better description for a little boy - very cute! i love running around green lake too. we always stay with wyatt's aunt and uncle when we're in seattle and they live a couple miles from the lake. it really is beautiful! congrats on being able to start doing stuff - i think i'd be counting down the days too.

He is looking so much bigger at six weeks, its amazing! Seeing how cute Sawyer is and hearing about his milestones is getting me so excited for a little one of my own! Green Lake is definitely going to be one of my post baby walking areas too!

Soooo sweet! I am glad I finally got to see him, the live-version of him, and 2x in one week too. It was also pretty cool seeing his mom and dad, it had been quite awhile!
