I think Mommy is just about as excited as Sawyer is about his new mobile. The plan is for Sawyer to enjoy these contrasted safari images above his bassinet now...and then have something familiar to look up to when we (eventually) transition him to his crib. It won't be for a while (we're thinking 6 months)...but wow are these fun to look at!
I was going to make my own mobile with origami cranes...but never got around to it. I like this mobile because you can always change it up for something new...hmm...I think some cranes will eventually land there. Anyone else have any fun ideas for what we can hang on the mobile?

hi tysha! i don't know if this would work, but my mom had to get crafty with toys for us growing up (rather than buying things) so we had a mobile with very small stuffed animals - they were actually christmas ornaments from china shaped like lions, zebras, dragons etc. anyway, they were brightly colored & three-dimensional.. just a thought.
Jonah has a black and white mobile too that is reversible so as they get older and can see color it mixes in red, yellow and blue. His favorite pictures to look at were the faces of babies. He'd giggle forever!
Great idea, Meredith! I love that this mobile has the little clip things...I like the idea of little ornament sized animals etc. I'll have to keep my eyes open for some fun things to hang up there!
I love the mobile..where did you buy it?
I originally saw it - and the art cards - at the Pacific Place Fireworks downtown. I ended up finding it (for a little less $$) at gap.com (the baby home part). I think with shipping the mobile plus the art cards were like $30. And the mobile has clips so you can always switch it up! I love it!
