We didn't quite make it to the beach today. But after naps, we headed to Discovery Park and the big pile of white sand at the top of the bluff overlooking the beach and the Puget Sound.
We played in the sand. But mostly, Sawyer "drove" his trucks around. It is so funny. He can do it for hours. I think it's a boy thing...because yesterday when we were at the beach with our friends, his buddy did the same thing.
Oh, and if you ask the boy to give you a smile, this is the one you'll get: (he says he learned it from Auntie Tia...)
As we were walking through the park, we found this rather interesting flower (above) which looks like it is growing out of a leaf. Kinda cool. Unique, at least.
There were lots of "wish flowers" just ripe for making wishes. We had to let Sawyer blow a few wishes in the air...I mean, the boy's birthday is coming up and surely he's got to have something to wish for...
It was a fantastic outing to end our Saturday. What did you do to celebrate the weekend?

um... so saturday night we didn't end up doing anything fun. boo! we were going to hit the beach with daddy but he got caught up in a project and didn't get home until later... and he was tired and ready for bed, poor dude. worked 12 hours saturday!
I half expected to run into you at the beach - we almost went to Matthews :)
This is the park I was telling you about we want to take you guys "hiking" down to the beach in a few weekends - you'll LOVE it!
Tell Dan not to work too hard :)
Awesome photos Tysha. That flower you photographed is a budding honeysuckle. We are growing a honeysuckle plant on our trellis. Can't wait for the hummingbirds to find it.
Tysha - you are truly inspiring to me. I'm just trying to figure out some sort of routine with my new little one and then I see that you are out and about each day with your two little ones. Hopefully soon I'll be out and about each day like you. I love reading your blog and looking at the photos - so professional. Ryanne
She looks JUST LIKE YOU!!! Same smile and everything!
